Fierce

My toaster caught on fire 2 weeks ago, and I’ve been toaster shopping ever since. I finally bought a cute Oster toaster that’s red, but I would have loved a FIERCE toaster like this one. I think Christian Siriano would approve.

I had fun using my new Wacom Bamboo pen tablet too… part of the fun submitting to Illustration Friday for me is trying new things, maybe I’ll go back to watercolors next week… maybe not.

Hoard
Well, hoard was a no-brainer. My 15-year old son loves squirrels, so it was a good opportunity for me to draw him a happy, hoarding, acorn-loving squirrel.

I sketched him out, scanned him in, and used Illustrator and Photoshop.

Punchline

Well, this has been a week for learning. I haven’t used Illustrator in a while, so thought I’d play with it this week since I need to use it for a different project. It’s not quite as finished as I’d like. I mean… please don’t tell these guys they have no arms in the back. And the orange slice in the punch bowl looks a little goldfishy. But, third week in a row for Illustration Friday! Yeah!

This punchline of boxers was done with ink, Illustrator and Photoshop.

So delicious

I would call these the REAL San Francisco treats. It’s the oatmeal cookie, and the melty chocolate. I want one now.

Baby Carrots

“Baby Carrots.” After years of drooling over other amazing artist’s submissions, here is my first submission to Illustration Friday. My interpretation of the topic “Baby”. A little drawing done with watercolors.
