This little clique of ducks definitely do not want the alligator to join in their fun.
I’d like to think if the ducks knew the alligator, and they weren’t at risk to be his dinner, they’d actually welcome him to their party.

Although I do live near the ocean in California, I’d love to have a pink cabana underneath some curly palm trees located on a far-away, whimsical island. I’d swing in my hammock, put my toes in the warm, white sand, and paint and dream all day….

A cluttered kitchen is TRULY a happy kitchen. I do have a love for mixing bowls of all shapes and sizes and truthfully, my cupboards are actually way more cluttered than this little drawing. I especially love my mom’s old bowls, her old yellow Pyrex is one of my favorites. This little drawing for Illustration Friday showing my kitchen clutter was done with Pastel pencils. I was in the mood to play with something new.

This is my mom and dad, I lost my dad when I was only 16-years old. And my mom recently. One of my earliest memories is being bundled-up and going outside in the early morning to watch the flowers on the ice plant “wake up”. I have memories from all over California from the redwoods and beaches to the mountains and rivers and lakes.

One of my favorite routines is my breakfast routine.
A little watercolor for Illustration Friday’s topic of the week “Routine”.
I did this on Monday, plenty of time to scan and put it up, but my computer was not agreeing with me. Better late than never I guess.

Wouldn’t any little girl love a paper doll with clothes that detach? I know I would.
After a few busy summer weeks, here is a new watercolor for Illustration Friday. A poof of wind makes a dandelion go “Poof!”
Make a wish……

This little girl’s mood was abruptly soured when her ice cream fell off of her cone. Created with Photoshop.

My toaster caught on fire 2 weeks ago, and I’ve been toaster shopping ever since. I finally bought a cute Oster toaster that’s red, but I would have loved a FIERCE toaster like this one. I think Christian Siriano would approve.
I had fun using my new Wacom Bamboo pen tablet too… part of the fun submitting to Illustration Friday for me is trying new things, maybe I’ll go back to watercolors next week… maybe not.

Well, hoard was a no-brainer. My 15-year old son loves squirrels, so it was a good opportunity for me to draw him a happy, hoarding, acorn-loving squirrel.
I sketched him out, scanned him in, and used Illustrator and Photoshop.
